Do you love SHARK WEEK?? Me, too!

Here’s my tribute to the Great White Shark… a hat you can wear while watching your favorite shark shows. It simulates a shark biting off the top of your noggin. I’ve priced it low, so all shark lovers can enjoy this.

It’s knitted from one skein of Cascade 220 Superwash worsted in color 817 (cream) for the underside of the shark (front of the hat) and the big pointy teeth. You’ll use one skein of color 892 (light grey) for the top of the shark (back of hat), also you will need a few yards in color 815 (black) for eyes (which are felted, or you can use black buttons) and mouth opening, 894 (pink) for the gums. You can add optional duplicate stitches for spots of “blood” on the teeth with color 809 (red), if you desire!

This is not a difficult knit, but it keeps your interest. Have fun!

My grand-nephew loved his all grey version (a little smaller - sorry, not included in the pattern), doing a growling shark imitation!
