Hand knitted socks are, in my opinion, one of the most delightful luxuries in life. There’s something so special about wrapping up your toes in socks that you’ve knit yourself – it’s like treating yourself with the utmost care and I’m all about caring for ourselves.

Like all of my knits, the premise is simple. They’re worked top down with a little bit of ribbing to start off, heading straight into the heel flap and shaping before settling in to the patterned body of the sock. Worked with just two repeating rounds, this moss stitch pattern is simple to knit but effective to look at – exactly how I like my patterns to be!

There’s one size included in the cast on instructions, and you can customise the length to get the right fit for you.

I love to work mine on my Addi Sock Wonder mini circular needles, but you can just as easily knit them up using the magic loop method. Either way, you’ll be cosying your toes in your newly knit socks in no time!

To knit this pattern you’ll need:

50g 4ply yarn of your choice
2.5mm circular knitting needle
Tapestry needle
2 Stitch markers

Construction

This pattern is knit in the round, using circular knitting needles.

We make the designs, and we want you to make them your own.
