The shawl consist of a centre lace panel and an outer Estonian lace border. The centre lace panel consists of an border of lilac leaves and an inner centre of flowers, all separated by a narrow border of gather stitches. The centre panel is knitted back and forth, with a knit and a purl side.

This shawl is knitted using 3 skeins of Rowan Fine Lace in the dark lilac colourway (SH00926). It is knitted on 3.5 mm (US 4) 80 cm (32‘’) circular needle. As the centre of the shawl is knitted back and forth, you may use long strait needles for this part if you want to. However, the outer border is knitted in the round, and requires a circular needle.
