Gradients are where it is at!
Let’s explore the magic of 2 gradients working together, with this vibrant COWL. Feel free to share yours in the bunnymuff group!

This is a pattern for a gradient cowl worked using the mosaic slip st technique. If you can knit stripes and slip sts - you can make this cool colourwork design.
The welcome page includes a little swatch for you to practice with (if you are new to Slip St Mosaic or just want to try out your new colours). You want to keep your colours bold in contrast - a dark against a light.

A colourful selection of 50 gr gradients are available at Wolle’s Etsy Shop! You need only 1 of each, MC skein and CC skein.
Below are a few suggested colour combinations for the cowl -

  • Raspberry Medley/Key Lime Pie or Lemongrass or Parasol
  • Pomme/Cupid or Parasol
  • Lemongrass/Generation or Alloy
  • Alloy/Cupid or Sundae Whew, they are going fast!!

You may work the cowl with 3.0 or 3.25mm needles to get the stitch appearance you like. I tend to work mosaic loosely and the sample is worked on 3.0mm needles. Others may work Mosaic more tightly…you know your knitting best and choose a needle that fits your style! Depending on your skein, you may need to work from the outside in or inside out.
approx. gauge:
