This easily draped garter stitch entrelac cowl is worked in the round from two beautiful Tess’ Designer Yarns in contrasting colors and yarn textures. The pattern uses an equal percent of each skein (the additional yardage of Silky Locks is for the edge treatment). Length and height are easily adjusted by changing the number of repeats or knitting additional tiers.

The extra long gray-and-blue version pictured used 70% of each skein; the silk and merino yarn garter stitch rectangles are 8 sts by 8 ridges and measure 4” diagonally. It is 80” in circumference and 8 1/4” tall.

A big thank you to raveler figment49 for corrections and a test knit. The version with corrections is dated January 10, 2014.

Skills needed: knit, purl, cast on, bind off, pick up stitches. Familiarity with the entrelac technique is assumed.

Samples will be on display in the Tess’ Designer Yarns booth at Vogue Live NYC in January, so please do stop by and take a look.
