If you are intimidated by stranded colorwork, or your projects don’t come out satisfactorily, try mosaic knitting instead. You only use two colors of yarn, and you don’t have to worry about floats that can make your project tight and inflexible.

Mosaic knitting creates lots of wonderful geometric patterns. This pattern was inspired by patterns found in Greek architecture.

The triangle is very elongated, and it works beautifully as a head scarf. I was able to wear it a few times once I finished it before the weather got too warm, and I love to use it to cover my head and wrap the ends around my neck. It is currently my favorite garment. Since it is mostly cotton, it is great for the cooler summer nights we have in the Sierras loosely wrapped around my neck.
