Last week marked the first day of autumn and in the UK, we’re just around the corner from turning our clocks back.

I for one, cannot wait for the evenings to get darker whilst I snuggle under my blanket with the smell of spiced candles burning whilst I watch movies and crochet all the cosy things, ahh, bliss!

So, what better time than now to introduce you to The Hood and Shoulders Pocket Shawl -- the perfect fall accessory that is complete with a hood, lots of texture, pockets and the opportunity to experiment with colour.

The pattern is written to fit to your own unique size - simply follow the instructions included to make the size that is perfect for you.

The pattern uses standard US terms and is suitable for crocheters of an intermediate/advanced level, although I think a confident beginner looking to challenge themselves a little would do just fine.

I really hope you love this stylish versatile scarf as much as I do, I can’t wait to wear mine on those crisp autumn mornings.

The shawl in the photos is pictured on me, a 5ft5 female & used approx 500 yards of main colour and 200 contrasting colour #5 yarn in 2 colours.

Happy hooking!

All of my patterns are tested by crocheters and/or designers to ensure the best and clearest instructions are presented to you!

Please note: Any yarns may be used other than the ones listed, crocheting should be an affordable hobby, so use what is easily available to you, just remember to check your gauge.
