For the second annual Socktober Mystery Knit Along through String Theory Yarn Company in Glen Ellyn, IL I wanted to create a sock that both reminded me to keep working towards a better tomorrow and bring the energy Ruth Bader Ginsburg brought to all her work towards justice and equality.

All change starts small so the foot and leg feature a floral motif as we plant the seeds of change. The cuff features a simple lace repeat to mimick Ruth’s iconic Dissent collars.

Ruth passed while I was designing these socks and it feels even more powerful to release this pattern into the world now, we must be the powerful force for good that Ruth embodied throughout her life.

The socks are toe up and feature a gussetted heel along with two difficulty levels for the leg.

Thank you to all my knit-alongers and Janet at String Theory for making this pattern and knit along so vibrant.
