In the Odyssey Odysseus and his men came across a race of people who ate only the louts plants that grew in abundance there which had a narcotic effect upon them. Naturally, they’d be too sleepy to finish more than one pair and would have to share.

These mitts are what happened when I decided the design of an earring would look good as a cabled hat and needed matching mitts. The design is mirrored to help with those times you get confused about your left and your right. They are knit in one piece and charted.

Difficulty: Advanced Intermediate. Must like cables.
Materials: 150-200 yds of wool-based DK weight yarn, tapestry needle, cable needle (optional).

Designer not responsible for any soporific effects felt upon wearing mitts.
