This deceptively simple headband is all smoke and mirrors - it may look hard, but it’s actually very easy! Aptly knit in mock rib, the Mock Turban is a quick knit with a few slightly advanced techniques in the form of the provisional cast on and the kitchener stitch. The central wrap is a fun and easy way to learn how to pick up stitches, and it conveniently hides your seam!

The Mock Turban is knit with one ball of KPC Yarns Novomerino in aran weight, a super smooth and luxe-feeling merino yarn in colorway Ivory.

The Mock Turban Headband pattern is part of a video series on the e-learning site Skillshare. In addition to a PDF pattern, the course includes a video tutorial that walks you through the provisional cast on, the kitchener stitch and how to knit that central wrap.
