Did you or someone you love watch The Shining at a traumatically young age? Do you worry that waves of blood might race out of the next elevator you open? Do you still see little girls in blue dresses every time you look down a hotel hallway? Technically, I can’t help you with any of that, but I did design this crochet pattern to help you make Halloween - or any other night of the year - a little more creepily adorable with stuffies from The Shining.

This pattern includes instructions for making 7 amigurumi figures. Jack, Wendy, and Danny are all here, as are Lloyd, the bartender; Dick Hallorann, the head chef, and of course, those iconic little girls who want to play with you forever and ever and never eat their broccoli.

This is an intermediate pattern, but only because there is some unusual shaping on pieces like Jack’s hair. You know all the dance steps, which are no fancier than sc, HDC, and DC. All of the decreases are single crochet decreases (sc2tog).

Required extras are minimal. You need about 8 inches (20cm) of jewelry wire (almost any gauge will do), 7 pairs of 6mm safety eyes (you know, if you use safety eyes), and scraps of black and white felt for mouths and the Apollo rocket on Danny’s sweater. Yarn colors are provided in the listing.
