Introducing, what I’d like to think is the perfect structured toque, The Tofino Toque! Written and designed on my most recent trip to Tofino, I knew I wanted something that provided a cushy double brim, a structured decrease that provided crisp shaping to the crown of the toque, while also looking both minimalist and stylish at the same time.

This is my go-to toque pattern. It is easy to adjust, and the pattern includes notes on how to make your toque larger or smaller. However, this is an adult pattern, so there is only so much adjusting that can be done.

Notes are also included on how to get the same style and gauge of toque by combining different weights of yarn together. For example, I have made this toque by using just a single strand of bulky (5) yarn as well as by holding four different strands of fingering (1) yarn, and various other combinations. Typically though, as long as you have about 130 yards of a bulky weight yarn and size 6.00 mm needles, you are good to go with this pattern!
