This shawl begins with the edging, which is worked as long as the finished width. Stitches will be picked up along one edge and worked across the width. For the second Edging, stitches will be cast on and worked the same as the first Edging, joining one stitch of the body at the end of every other row.

This shawl can be made following written instructions or by following the charts. Choose whichever is easiest for you.

Yarn is recommended for a light weight wool blend (3). 1.75 ounces, 192 yards (50 grms, 175) per hank 4 hanks.

Straight knitting needles, size 8 (5 mm) or size neded for gauge.

Note: A wool blend was chosen to make this lacy shawl. It will stretch in the blocking process.
