For October, I wanted something warm and cozy that would also be a nod to a beloved book series—Harry Potter. Three Broomsticks made of twisted stitches run up the inner and outer ankles, and the seed stitch motif is yet another broomstick! Warm and cozy, these socks are perfect for chilly days, trick-or-treating, and curling up with a magical story!

Materials:
• 300-460 yards of fingering weight yarn. Shown in francofille knits “Hanté” on Chaussette II (437 yards 100 grams; 85% Superwash Merino, 15% Nylon)
• US size 1 (2.25 mm) circular needles with 40” cable (or preferred sock needles).
• Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
• At least 1 stitch marker (if desired)
