Through the Years
This colorful afghan digs deep into your stash to use many colors in conjunction with a neutral base color tying the whole thing together. The sample usesapproximately 950 yards of charcoal gray as the base. All the other yarns can be pulled from your stash as long as they are all the same weight. By knitting it in strips and changing colors at irregular intervals, you get an artistic appearance. It will reflect your knitting throughout the years with the stash yarn. Use knit below and purl below to combine the colors and make vertical stripes of color. But you only knit with one color in a row. After blocking the strips, put them together by sewing or crocheting.
