This simple poncho is knit side to side in two rectangles that are joined at the shoulder after blocking. The Criss Cross stitch pattern creates the decorative design across the top of the poncho. The remaining open work is created by dropping stitches and unraveling them after completing the rectangles.

SIZE

Width = 34”, back length = 22”, front length = 20” after blocking and without fringe. Instructions include options for making the poncho longer and/or wider. These options would require additional yardage.

MATERIALS

Yarn: Berroco Tillie (62% Pima Cotton, 38% Cupro; 375 yd/343 m) 2 100g skeins. Note: the pattern as written leaves approx. 10 g of remaining yarn. If you choose to make changes, consider purchasing additional yarn.

Needles: Size 8 (5 mm), 24-32” circular recommended.

Notions: markers, tapestry needle, crochet hook.
