“Time Tunnel” is an easy, completely reversible scarf or cowl for him or her. A very easy stitch pattern results in a bold geometric optical illusion. A yarn with good stitch definition in a solid or subtly variegated colorway would show the stitch patterns best. The pattern has options for multiple yarn weights. The squares were inspired by the Star Portal in a video game of my youth, Star Voyager, but when worked in a very particular shade of blue, they call to mind everyone’s favorite time-and-space traveling police box. Make one for the time traveler in your life.

Gauge is not critical, but changes may result in more yarn being needed. Use any yarn with appropriate needles. Scarf instructions are on p. 2; cowl instructions are on p. 3. Each is both written and charted.

Skills Needed: Knit, purl, following a simple stitch pattern.

Sonic Screwdriver not included.
