Meet our adorably Tiny Teddy Bear. He’s cute, cuddly, very lovable and fits in the palm of your hand. This pattern supplies directions for making our Tiny Teddy Bear.

This Bear is suitable for an advanced knitter. This pattern is a very tiny pattern and requires a lot of patience and knowledge of knitting small things to achieve. It is not for all knitters. If you are new to knitting stuffed animals, you may want to start with our Classic Teddy Bear or Smooth Hedgehog patterns. However, if you love detailed work, this is the pattern for you! Our Tiny Teddy Bear is knit flat and sewn together using a mattress stitch.

If you’re new to knitting stuffed friends, or are uncomfortable winging it without strict guidelines (that’s OK, we all need good directions sometimes to help us out) you will need approximately 16 m of medium weight yarn. With this yarn, use 4 mm (US size 6) needles. You will also need a small amount of yarn for embroidering the face, stuffing (we use ecofil or wool) and a tapestry needle to sew your bear together. This will let you create a bear that’s approximately 9 cm (3.5 inches) in length.

The beauty of knitting stuffed friends is that this pattern can be knit in any size yarn with accompanying needles. Generally we find using a size or two smaller needles than required by the yarn allows for the tightness needed when you’re stuffing your finished product.
