This earflap hat is designed with a little one’s ever-growing head in mind. Knit with stretchy fingering-weight sock yarn, it is designed to stretch and grow, continuing to fit for many months. The earflaps keep tiny ears warm, while buttons and I-cord braids add style and flair. With Toasty Bean, the earflaps are knit separately first, then joined with other stitches in the round for the body, ending in simple decreases at the top.

  • Width-around widest part of head (approximate): 15-16”, (18-19”, 20-22”) Length-from base of I-cords at crown to end of earflap: 7 1/2”, (8 1/2”, 10”)
  • Notions: 4 matching 7/8 inch buttons for 0-3 month size or 1 inch buttons for the other sizes small amount of contrasting dk or worsted weight yarn
