The 8 ply Toasty Handwarmer is designed for a beginner. It will keep your hands warm through the winter while leaving your fingers and thumb free to do the important stuff like knit. It’s knitted as a square and then the side edges are sewn up into a tube, leaving a gap for the thumb. A super quick and easy knit.

It comes in medium and large sizes. The medium has a hand width of 7-8cm, and the large has a hand width of 8-9.

This pattern in knitted in 8ply. Wool and alpaca yarns will be warmest, but any 8ply yarn will work. As the pattern is small and simple, you will only need about 50 grams or 100 metres of yarn.
