These fingerless mitts are not so fingerless!

The stylish and versatile Tolkowsky Mitts feature a long over-the-fingers cuff, which can be worn either folded back for ease of movement, or turned down to give extra warmth to the fingers. An easy after-thought thumb is placed in the middle of the mitt, meaning that they can be worn on either hand or indeed upside down, whist still providing the same fit.

Named after Marcel Tolkowsky, who calculated the first angles for the ‘ideal’ cut diamond, the Tolkowsky Mitts feature a bold geometric triangle and diamond colourwork pattern. The patterning is enhanced through the use of highly contrasting yarns: a dark main colour and a slightly variegated contrast colour. They would also work well with a pale background colour.

The Tolkowsky Mitts pattern has been fully tech-edited, and includes clear photographs, a colourwork chart and a schematic.
An accompanying cowl pattern is also available separately.
