TOOLEY OWL TOY KNITTING PATTERNS
Would you like to knit your own Tooley Owl? This is a very basic knitting pattern, ideal for beginner knitters or if you are new to making toys.
THE PATTERN INCLUDES: Row numbers for each step so you don’t lose your place, plus a handy checklist so you can tick off row by row as you knit. Instructions for making the owl plus photos are included, and a list of abbreviations, a materials list and recommended yarns. Also included is a photo tutorial showing how to change colours to knit the broad stripes for the owl’s tummy. The pattern is 6 pages and written in English.
TECHNIQUES: All pieces are knitted flat (back and forth) on a pair of straight knitting needles. The simple pattern only requires you to know how to knit, purl, cast on, cast off and knit two stitches together.
YARN, NEEDLES AND NOTIONS INCLUDE:
- A pair of straight 3.5mm knitting needles (US 4)
- Double knitting yarns (DK or light worsted weight) in green and purple; less than 50g in each colour
- Black buttons for eyes
- White and yellow felt fabric for the eyes and beak
- Toy filling
