Totally wild mitts are knit flat beginning with a provisional cast on and joined with a kitchener graft to form a tube. The thumb is worked in garter stitch and joined to the main body of the mitt before working the Kitchener graft.

Inspiration for the mitts came from the desire to work mitts without needing to work a thumb band after completing the main mitt.

The stitch pattern is suitable for multi colour and stripes as well as plain colours.
