The colourwork motifs are inspired by a small tree dwelling bird, the treecreeper, which has characteristically large feet with sharp claws to enable it to grip onto the side of tree trunks.

Worked in the round from the cuff up, these stranded colourwork wrist warmers can be made with or without an optional thumbhole at the palm side.

If you are between sizes, consider working the smaller size on slightly larger needles.
