Trenza, meaning braid, describes the cable featured prominently on these mitts. The worsted weight yarn makes this a quick-to-finish project, great for the last minute gift knitting. Some experience with cable knitting may be helpful as this braided design is considered intermediate in difficulty.
The design is mirrored on the mitts and separate charts are provided for each hand for ease of knitting. The mitts can be knitted also flat and seamed, with or without the thumb gusset. The overall ribbed pattern gives these gloves a lot of stretch which will easily accomodate a wide range of sizes, but smaller or larger size can be also achieved through a simple change in the needle size.
