The tulip stitch, also known as the box stitch, is a classic blanket pattern. Make it even prettier by continuing the pattern along the three remaining edges of the blanket.

This pattern was created for the cats at the Western Pennsylvania Humane Society. The blankets are used for bedding in the cages and go home with the cats to their new homes. Their scent on the blankets provides comfort to the cats and helps them adjust.
