Cables undulate down the front of this vest like ripples in a river. The Fibre Co.’s Acadia yarn, a blend of merino wool, silk, and cashmere, adds a subtle tweed effect.

Yarn The Fibre Co. Acadia (60% wool, 20% alpaca, 20% silk): sea lavender, 6 (7, 7, 8, 9, 10) skeins. Yarn distributed by Kelbourne Woolens.

Needles Size 5 (3.75 mm) and 6 (4 mm): 24” circular. Adjust needle size to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions Markers; cable needle; stitch holders; tapestry needle.

Gauge 24 sts and 28 rows = 4” in Cable patt on larger needle; 22 sts and 28 rows = 4” in k2, p2 rib on larger needle.

Notes This vest is worked in the round from the lower edge to the underarm, then the front and back are worked separately back and forth.
