This pattern is available for free.

Editors note: DIY network has removed all patterns from their website. The current link is to an archived version of the pattern. Pictures may or may not show up and the text is very hard to read due to a dark grey background. PDF links for the charts appeared to still work, so the entire pattern should be accessible. See NOTE:

NOTE: The pattern is also available on Vickie Howell’s blog which has working links to the archived stitch charts.

Ms. Cookie says: “Terrified at the thought of knitting socks? This pattern will calm your fears and warm your toes.”

Cookie A., a California based knitwear designer who specializes in socks, shares a lacy pattern knit from the toe up. The benefit of knitting a sock from the toe up is that it’s easier to orient yourself within the stitch pattern, and you can try them on as you go to figure out how long you want them.
