This is a quick and easy to knit slouch hat. The pattern includes several links, including a video tutorial on how to make the twisted stitches that are a feature of the ribbing.

The had comes in 3 sizes, (s, m, l) because really most hats are not one sizes fits all. The different sizes are achieved with different stitch counts. Stitch Gauge IS VERY important--row gauge not so much. The gauge swatch should be worked in stocking knit, on larger needles

The pattern is a simple one, and the print out includes 2 small photos as well as a glossary of terms. The only tricky part would be the twisted pairs of stitches, other wise the hat is knit, purl and K2tog, and P2tog.

The pattern presumes that you know how to knit in the round, and the directions are largely needle neutral.

If working with 2 strands held together, the yardage would be doubled--(ie, 200 yards long (when held together.. or 400 yards in total)
