When evening dress seems too formal, team this attractive jumper with a swirling skirt and you will be both smart and well-dressed for the occasion. The jumper looks best knitted in black.

It is quickly made in double rib, which moulds into the figure, and a simple lace pattern forms the scalloped edging of the neck and armholes. Knitted in black or a delicate pastel shade of wool, it will be smart as well as lovely and feminine.

Materials:
2 1/2 oz 2-ply wool.
1 pair each of No. 11 and No. 13 knitting needles.

Measurements:
Length from shoulder: 22 in.
Stretching to fit up to a 35 in. bust measurement.

Tension:
10 sts and 12 rows to 1 in., measured over rib (unstretched)
