THE DESIGN
“A little colorwork, a little striping, a lot of fun.”
This free pattern downloadable from our website plays with color in two engaging ways. First, a graphic, textured corrugated rib in two colors marches around the edge. Then, an ascending series of stripes taper off towards the crown. Pick high contrast colors for some graphic oomph or a pair of tonal hues for subtle cool.

We knit the Up & About Striped Beanie in a fine woolly wool—Jamieson’s Shetland Spindrift. A fingering-weight, woolen-spun yarn made from the fleece of hardy, wee Shetland sheep. Nice and lofty, it has the perfect toothy texture and gorgeous color palette.
