Upon A Shore is a classic symmetrical triangular shawl that is worked top down in sections of various stitch patterns and shaped with the centerline and side increases. The knitting starts at the centre of the top edge with the garter tab cast-on. Increases along the centerline are made in a simple eyelet stitch pattern to create a soft and delicate line between two wings.

The sample shawl is knit in fingering weight yarn using two colours, main and contrast. Some sections are worked using both colours, but only one colour per every two rows is used, and others are worked in a single colour, either dark or light.

The pattern includes BOTH charted AND written instructions in 2 separate files.
