An edgy shawl for exploring your world in style. It’s a jungle out there.

Urban Jungle is a top-down, half-crescent shawl that begins with a modified garter-tab cast on of 3 stitches, with additional stitches added to only one side.

The tilted diamond lace pattern forms a wavy edge, and flows into scalloped lace hem that plays nicely with slightly variegated yarns. Make it in a sock yarn, or in a fingeringweight yarn with a touch of silk for drape. Either way, it can be worn as a traditional shawl or around the neck as a substantial scarf.

The shawl measures approximately 31 ½ “ deep, 84” along the curved lower edge, and requires:
2 skeins The Plucky Knitter Plucky Single (430 yds/skein), or
2 skeins Madelinetosh Twist Light (420 yds/skein), or approx 680 yards fingeringweight yarn.
