I’ve been knitting and designing socks for many years now, and they are without doubt my favourite thing to knit.

Over those years, I have slowly been making adjustments and improvements to my socks knitting.

Each time I cast on a new pair, I saw it as an opportunity to try out new things, with an aim of producing the neatest sock I possibly could. After many, many socks and lots of tweaks, I feel I have now emerged from that journey.

The Vanilla Cream Socks are a perfectly neat and tidy design. The pattern includes information and 6 video tutorials for all of the techniques that I now use.

For me, there is nothing better than a stocking stitch pair of socks, beautifully knitted. I hope you enjoy creating your own perfect pairs of socks.

Sock Details

The socks are knitted using stocking stitch, with a garter detail underneath the cuff. They are worked top down, with a contrast heel flap and turn and feature my much loved Umbrella Toe. The pattern gives instructions for the magic loop method, but you can of course use your preferred method.

Sizes

The pattern comes in 3 sizes - small (56sts), medium (64sts) and large (72sts).

Yarn

The sample is knitted using one skein of Loom Wool Simple Sock in the colourway ‘Antiquity’. The heels are knitted with a 10g mini from Lay Family Yarns.
