Wait, doesn’t this sock look a lot like Vanilla is the New Black?

That’s because it’s a toe-up version of that pattern!

Featuring a variation on the Strong-style heel, this sock is worked from the toe up, without the need to pick up stitches. This means the finished sock is reversible. Yes, both sides are pretty enough to be shown!

This sock looks great in solid, variegated and self-striping yarns.

Sizes included: 60, 64, 68, 72, 76, 80 stitches

Note about short rows: this pattern calls for shadow wrap short rows. In testing, this style of wrap gave the best, most invisible, results. Tutorials on the shadow wrap can be found online from Coco Knits and Leethal Knits. Another type of short row can be substituted, but may be more visible in the final sock. Shadow wraps are easy to work, and I hope you give them a try!

Special note for self-striping yarn, to keep the stripes intact: switch to the other end of your yarn skein on row 2 of the gusset increases. Switch back to the main yarn during the heel decrease set up row, after you have completed the second set “k2tog 3 times”, just before k 28 / 30 … etc..
