Verge is a garter stitch scarf or shawlette with a dropped-stitch fringe and nice edging details. It is narrowed at either end, forming a shallow crescent.

You can make it with two contrasting yarns or use the same yarn throughout.

It could easily be made wider by adding increase rows and made longer by adding even rows in the center.

We’ve done three versions using worsted weight yarns and a mix of worsted and bulky yarns. Be courageous in mixing textures and weights.

The Versa/Lago version used 115 yards of Versa and 100 yards of Lago.

The Sol Degrade version used 166 yards. (this scarf had a gauge of 18 sts per inch, your gauge may be looser and use more yarn.)

The Tempo version used 183 yards, approximately 92 yards of each color.
