Ready to try a bit of brioche? How about graphic columns of brioche knits and purls tucked between familiar stockinette and garter? The brioche stitches create deep ribs and a flexible, relaxed fabric for an easy, slightly slouchy fit. Crown shaping is worked without brioche decreases making it ideal for a brioche beginner. Vim and Vigor begins with a tubular cast-on – such a neat and clever start for 1x1 ribbed brims. How about a jumbo pompom with an assortment of yarns and yarn weights for a final flourish? I think it will give you that ‘ole Vim and Vigor as you work.
The hat is designed in 5 sizes from child to large adult in worsted weight yarn. The pattern has both written and charted instructions.

Yardage
110 (130, 170, 190, 245) yd / 100 (120, 155, 175, 225) m worsted weight yarn
