For the knitter who welcomes various techniques in a single pattern, Valley Yarns Wainscot features a dramatic slip-stitch colorwork border, cable front panels, a shawl color, and set-in pockets trimmed with I-cord. This women’s cardigan is knit flat in Valley Superwash DK in one piece from the bottom up to the underarm. Shoulders are joined using 3-Needle Bind Off. Front bands and shawl collar are picked up and worked along the front and neck edges. Long set-in sleeves are knit from the shoulders in the round to the cuffs. The slip stitch colorwork and cable patterns are charted and written out.
