This knitting pattern can help you create a detailed fair isle sweater dress, like the ones pictured here. The dress is worked from the loose-ribbed turtleneck and fair isle yoke downwards. The colorwork is completed on the yoke, and then repeated on the body, which means that dressing the doll is less of a challenge than with a sweater where the colorwork goes all the way down the sleeves. (The design on the sleeves is also optional) The sweater dress is fitted at the side seams for a figure-skimming fit.

The dress may fit a variety of 14 inch dolls, but is specifically fitted to Helen Kish’s 14” Chrysalis dolls like Lark, Piper, Wren, and Song. The sweater dress is halfway open in the back for ease of dressing.
