This knitting pattern can help you create a detailed fair isle sweater dress, like the one pictured here. The dress is worked from the loose-ribbed turtleneck and fair isle yoke downwards. The colorwork is completed on the yoke, which means that dressing the doll is less of a challenge than with a sweater where the colorwork goes all the way down the sleeves. (The design on the sleeves is also optional) The sweater dress is fitted at the side seams for a figure-skimming fit.

The dress may fit a variety of 16-17 inch dolls, but is specifically fitted to Robert Tonner’s 16” Tyler Wentworth or Ellowyne Wilde. The sweater is halfway open in the back for ease of dressing.
