This is a simple washcloth. I have written this pattern out to use it in crochet workshops I’m running at the HEFF home educators festival. I have made sure to use a variety in stitches for beginners. So it has chain, double crochet, half treble, treble and double treble in there. The text has it in British terminology as I live in Britain, but the software of my chart can only do American terminology so it has that in the key.
The size depends on which yarn you use. The bigger the yarn the bigger the cloth. I have used a sport weight yarn and a 3 mm hook and that gives the size of 11cm x 18cm.
This sampler can be used to learn to get an even gauge.
I have used a big of a cotton yarn that I have. About 15 grams / 40 cm of it, which is very little.
