Water Rings is a fun to knit shawl worked in two colours that starts as an asymmetrical triangle and is then shaped with short rows to result in a symmetrical crescent. An i-cord edging all around, which is worked at the same time as the body, gives a neat and lovely finish.

The shawl knits up quickly as it is worked in garter stitch combined with slipped stitches. Its construction makes it an enjoyable & fun knit and results in an item that’s easy & cosy to wear.

SIZE OF SAMPLE:
length along top edge: approx. 115 cm / 45“
depth: approx. 33 cm / 13“

YARN:
You can use any yarn weight you like. The pattern was designed for two contrasting colours. Allow at least 200yds/183m of each colour to get the size of the sample. It works well as a larger version with up to 400yds/370m per colour.
The pattern is very easy to adjust to the yardage you have available!
Yarn used for sample:
The Plucky Knitter Primo Worsted (100g=200yds/183m), 1 skein each in colourways Surf (A) and Twill (B)

GAUGE & NEEDLES:
Gauge is not critical for this project but differences will affect yardage requirements and the finished size.
Gauge on sample: 18 sts x 36 rows = 10x10cm/4x4“ in garter stitch on 5mm/US8 needles after blocking

The pattern contains fully written out as well as charted instructions.

I hope you’ll enjoy the pattern!
