I designed the hat for myself as I wanted something pretty, functional and interesting. The hat is in two contrasting colours, with unusual twisted brim. A beanie, and a bit like a toque.
The hat is quick to knit yet not autopilot knitting as it has enough design elements to keep you interested and focused on your knitting.

There is a picture tutorial to walk you through the process of creating the twisted brim without any confusion.

Size: One size fits an average adult head, if necessary you can make the hat deeper by knitting additional rounds.

Level: advanced beginner, the hat is knit in the round, you need to know how to knit, purl and decrease by knitting 2 stitches together. There are written instructions, a chart and a photo tutorial to help you knit your hat as comfortably as possible.

Circumference: approximately 51cm (20in) unstretched

Yarn suggested: For main colour you’ll need 60 grams of any bulky that meets the gauge, wool if you want the hat very warm. For the contrasting colour 6-8 grams.
You can also use worsted held double.

Needle size: US 10 / 6mm circular needles, US 10 / 6mm straight needles, US 10 / 6mm DPNs if you don’t like the magic loop method. You will also need a stitch marker and tapestry needle for weaving ends.
