This cabled scarf was designed for Hunt Valley Cashmere’s 4-ply cashmere yarn (sport weight). It can also be made with their 8-ply for an even thicker scarf. The length is controlled by the number of times the central 20 row section is repeated, knitter’s choice. The pattern is both written and charted.

The blue scarf measures 70 by 5 3/4 inches (178 by 14 1/2 cm) blocked lightly, and used 2 3/4 ounces of 4-ply cashmere. It is soft and warm, and drapes nicely. The cashmere has a slight halo and excellent stitch definition.

The pink scarf was made of a merino DK weight yarn by a wonderful test knitter Dreamweaver238. It is 48 by 4 1/2 inches (121.9 by 11.4 cm) and used 231 yards. It was modeled by her daughter, on a very windy day.
