Welting in knitting is a method of creating horizontal ribbing. This is done by knitting ridges of stockinet and reverse stockinet. These ridges can vary in width depending on the look that you are trying to create. The ridges are in these patterns are quite wide with an optional eyelet detail. We all like to get double duty out of our knitting; Welting allows us to get that extra bit out of our projects. Welting is very reversible, done in two colours the reversibility gives us two very different looks to add to our wardrobe of accessories.

Can be knit almost any length, sample is about 7-8 inches deep.
