Whip Float is a long, looped cowl inspired by soft serve ice cream. On my last vacation I discovered the joy that is soft serve floating in juice. I’m not a soda drinker so I’ve never been very interested in floats before, but I like juice, and I was thirsty, so I tried one. One quickly turned into eight over the course of a week. It was a whole new twist on soft serve ice cream, my favorite warm weather treat!
Whip float comes in two variations, one using 2 200 yard skeins of the same colorway of gradient yarn, sometimes known as a sock set, and another using one 400 yard skein of yarn with a contrasting color mini skein. When working the gradient version, wind your yarn into center-pull cakes with the same color on the outside of each cake.
