Inspired by the wriggling form of the Caterpillar and his quizzical conversation with Alice during her Wonderland adventures.

This pattern is designed to highlight self-striping yarn with stripes ranging from 2 rows tall to 15 rows tall. The waves and ridges create a fun interplay with your colors. Socks are worked in 4 adult sizes: small, medium, large and extra large. Pattern stitch is created using paired and traveling increases and decreases. Purl ridges are created to highlight color changes by purling the first round of each new color.

Notes: This stitch pattern is not very stretchy, that’s why I prefer to use the US 1.5/ 2.5mm needles.
