Inspired by the wriggling form of the Caterpillar and his quizzical conversation with Alice during her Wonderland adventures. This pattern is designed to highlight self-striping yarn with stripes ranging from 2 rows tall to 15 rows tall. The waves and ridges create a fun interplay with your colors. Pattern stitch is created using paired and traveling increases and decreases. Purl ridges are created to highlight color changes by purling the first round of each new color. To accommodate the lack of stretch in the stitch pattern, this pattern is worked with more stitches than a typical sock.
