This beautiful triangular neck shawl is based on branching willows as they dip down into the river on a hot summer’s day. It is knitted from the top down and the edging is added on after without the need to cast off. Here I used Aade Long Villa from Estonia that I purchased in rainbow long stripes – long stripes being something I cannot produce myself – in a 4ply sock yarn on large 5.5mm needles which meant I was able to knit the garment in approx 5 days.
