Chocks away chaps! Wing Commander Hastings is ready to take to the skies! This pilot is a “Wing Commander” (abbreviated to Wg Cdr), which is a senior commissioned rank in the British Royal Air Force. Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the pilot is knitted in acrylic DK yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round), and the helmet is finished with a crochet edging.

NEEDLES
A pair of 3.75mm single pointed knitting needles (US 5)

RECOMMENDED YARN
Sirdar Hayfield Bonus DK; double knitting/light worsted weight; 100% acrylic; up to 25g in each colour

NOTIONS
Tapestry needle, toy filling and a stitch holder.
